UGH!! I Couldn't Believe This Disappointing News From Kesha! | Chicks News

If you have been following the heated legal battle between performing artist Kesha and her producer, Dr. Luke, you know that things have gotten pretty ugly at times. Kesha claimed that Dr. Luke abused and raped her throughout a large portion of the time they spent working together. Kesha filed a lawsuit to terminate her contract with Dr. Luke. Unfortunately, the legal proceedings have continued on and no resolution is currently in sight. In the meantime, Kesha has not be able to record her own music.

Just recently, Kesha received an offer to perform at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, May 22. Kesha accepted the offer and was slated to perform “It Ain’t Me, Babe” as a tribute to Bob Dylan. She even received a written letter of approval from Dr. Luke’s record label.

Out of the blue on Wednesday, Dr. Luke’s record label took their offer back! A deeply disappointed Kesha shared a message on her Instagram account that revealed that she is no longer allowed to perform at the Billboard Music Awards. We hope Dr. Luke’s and his record label will change their minds again, but it does not seem likely that Kesha will be able to perform.
