Matt, an extremely funny British father recently took to Facebook to share his experience of vacationing with his 7-month-old son, Charlie, and his partner Lyndsey. In a lengthy and hilarious post, Matt details the upsides and downsides to vacationing with a very young baby.
For instance, Matt describes his challenging experiences with picking Charlie up after applying sunscreen. As Matt explains it, if the sunscreen has not yet dried “it’s like wrestling a seal that’s just left a massage parlour.” He also describes the rewards of vacationing with Charlie, such as seeing his joyful reaction to putting his little toes in the sand for the very first time.
Matt also makes valuable recommendations for traveling with a young infant such as bringing an older, less costly stroller because after you check in it will eventually be “collected by two WWF wrestlers who smash it against a wall for a half an hour … before it is transferred to the runway, where they reverse the plane over it a couple of times.”
The hilarious and honest post has been shared on Facebook over 15,000 times. You can read the post in its entirety on Matt’s Facebook page. It does contain some adult language, so you may not want to read it when young children will be able to read it! While you are looking around on his Facebook page, you can also check out Matt’s wildly famous and amusing post on what it is like to become a father for the first time. He also writes on blog entitled Man-Vs-Baby.
